Established 1985 as Harold Read & Associates Pty Ltd, providing coal petrographic analyses to Coal Testing Laboratories in New South Wales and Queensland.
Coal & Organic Petrology Services Pty Ltd was established 2004 to expand the range of skills and services available to include organic petrology relevant to oil & gas exploration; and to offer consultancy advice regarding the use and interpretation of petrographic analyses, in particular maceral analysis and vitrinite reflectance, in coal, oil & gas exploration; coal and coke preparation and product quality monitoring.
